Bunker Blake · Managing Partner

Small frictions compound.

My career spans business strategy, client relationships, and data management. That breadth helps me see where complexity begins to slow a firm down, then build practical systems that keep it moving.

Applied learning

Experience sharpened through execution.

Across wealth management, alternatives, and investment technology, I kept seeing the same pattern: deep expertise, fragmented execution. Strategy, data, and client insight were often partially integrated. My career has been spent bringing them into closer alignment. Concorde grew from that work.

2007–2013

UBS · BLACKSTONE

Understanding capital

I began in wealth management and fixed income at UBS, learning how markets become portfolios and client decisions. At Blackstone, that foundation widened into alternatives and institutional capital formation. I worked across fundraising, product strategy, and technology, serving pensions, sovereign wealth funds, and leading consultants. There, I learned how capital, clients, and strategy reinforce one another.

2014–2019

NEW YORK LIFE · ADDEPAR

Building business architecture

My work at New York Life Investments started in business development and investor relations across private equity and hedge funds, then expanded into business strategy and operating systems. I helped shape the consolidation of New York Life’s alternatives businesses into Apogem Capital and developed a tool for MacKay Shields to anticipate client capital-flow patterns. At Addepar, I brought that same commercial lens to investment data and analytics.

2021–2025

MORGAN STANLEY · AMPLIFY

Orchestrating execution

At Morgan Stanley, I joined the private markets institutional client team during a leadership transition, helping navigate a flagship fund close, a new strategy launch, and evolving strategic partnerships. At Amplify, I shifted fully into strategy and data management for RIAs, family offices, and institutional allocators, combining external client work with the build-out of an operating model for a rapidly growing firm.

Global perspective

Relationships across markets, sustained by trust.

Philadelphia is Concorde’s home base and long-term anchor, with direct access to New York, the Eastern Seaboard, and Europe. Chicago remains foundational; New York and London extend a network built over years of work and relationships. Together, these four cities will define much of Concorde’s working geography for the foreseeable future, reflecting a simple belief: in a relationship-driven business, trust is still built and sustained in person.

The foundation Chicago Wealth Management

The starting point: commodity futures at the Board of Trade, followed by wealth management roles at Merrill Lynch and UBS. At UBS, I moved into fixed income, supporting advisors with municipal bond trading before moving to New York.

The Refinement New York Alternatives & Technology

UBS brought me from Chicago to New York, where fixed income became a bridge into alternatives. Blackstone, New York Life, and Addepar broadened the work across institutional capital, investment technology, and client relationships.

The Expansion London Global Capital Formation

London extended the Blackstone chapter internationally. Working with institutional investors across markets sharpened my understanding of capital formation, client relationships, and how investment organizations operate across geographies.

The Long View Philadelphia Strategy & Innovation

Philadelphia became home base in 2021. Morgan Stanley and Amplify brought business strategy, client relationships, and systems together, creating the foundation for Concorde and a more integrated approach to how investment firms operate.
